Cabinet to discuss easing of #Covid19 regulations─── 10:23 Wed, 22 Jun 2022

The South African cabinet is expected to meet on Wednesday to discuss the way forward regarding Covid-19 regulations or precautions.
This follows the Health Minister Joe Phaahla’s recommendation to ease the current regulations, including mask-wearing, restrictions related to gatherings, and entry limitations at events.
Meanwhile, the Free State Health MEC, Montseng Tsiu, told OFM News that this matter is still to be discussed at national level. She said all Health MECs in the country had to indicate whether they support this motion.
The National Department of Health consulted the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) on 20 June 2022 to propose reduced regulations.
