JOB TITLE: Debtors Clerk

REPORTS TO: General Manager

EDUCATION: Matric and/or Relevant qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Have at least 5 years’ experience as a Debtor’s Clerk

                                             

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Management of all local debtors’ functions within Mahareng Publishing.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Computer literate, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Be in possession of a code B driver’s licence
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans essential
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Attention to detail is of utmost importance
  • Assertive personal skills

 

Duties:

  • Accurate and timeous monthly debtor billing
  • Timeous collection of debtors
  • Handling and resolving of all queries
  • Liaising with Sales Department

The following Internship has come up within our Content Hub Division

 

JOB TITLE: Intern: Journalist (Get It Magazine)

REPORTS TO: General Manager

EDUCATION: Relevant tertiary qualification

REQUIREMENTS: 

Relevant degree or National Diploma

Code B driver’s licence

Be able to function effectively within a multi-media environment

 

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Sourcing strong story ideas, doing interviews, re-angling stories, adding value to stories (soundbites, photo’s, video’s etc.) handling press releases, doing follow ups where necessary and building an extensive contact network.

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have a passion for journalism and an extensive general knowledge of especially news and current affairs
  • Be a team player
  • Have exceptional communication and written skills, in English and Afrikaans. A third language will be an advantage
  • Be able to work under extreme pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A working knowledge of a camera and/or video camera

CLOSING DATE: 16h00, FRIDAY, 27 SEPTEMBER 2019

The successful candidate will be expected to work at Mahareng Publishing on a full time basis for a six month period.
