Mixed reactions towards eased #Covid19 regulations─── 13:23 Thu, 23 Jun 2022
Most people seem relieved about the Covid-19 regulations being eased, while others have indicated that they are not too convinced that it is safe to remove masks as yet.
OFM News interacted with various people to get their views, and they gave mixed reactions with most being positive.
“For my safety I still prefer wearing a mask because I don’t want people to see who I am."
"I am still wearing a mask because I am not sure if this Covid thing is finished or what. I think my safety comes first."
"I’m happy that the regulations have been relaxed because I’m not even wearing a mask today, so I’m enjoying it.”
Meanwhile, businesses seem to be excited about these changes. Preller Square in Bloemfontein's Caramello’s Manager, Keto Mosenye, indicated that business is doing better than it has in a very long time, which they had not anticipated but are excited about.
“Today has been a good day for us, and surprisingly we had a full house in the morning whereas usually we have a full house after nine [am] or so. People show up because they have that belief that things have changed and life goes on.”
