Three people have died after apparently being electrocuted at a tavern in a Bloemfontein residential area Saturday evening.
According to reports on social media, it is alleged the deceased touched a steel gate on the property and were electrocuted.
Provincial Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Sipho Towa, confirms the incident, but states details are still sketchy at present and he is still awaiting an incident report.
It is believed that two of the victims were declared dead on the scene, while the third received medical attention.
The third person thereafter succumbed to his/her injuries.
Local police and emergency medical services are yet to confirm the details surrounding the incident.
