The ANC's National Executive Committee member, who also serves as a Minister of Communications, Nomvula Mokoenyane, visited the youth of Maokeng, Kroonstad, as part of mobilisation of young people to take part in the coming general elections. 

During her speech, the minister told young women to emulate figures like Albertina Sisulu, who was fearless in terms of articulating political issues. 

Furthermore, Mokoenyane told the members of the South African Student Command that they should not be afraid to confront and bottle neck the issues of free education.
