The ten-day-old baby girl was found by a community member on Friday night after hearing a sound that seemed to be that of an infant crying. 

Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says police discovered the child in a toilet wrapped with a black leather jacket. 

He confirmed in a statement that the baby was then taken to a local hospital where it was confirmed she was ten days old. 

Members of the public, who might have information about the parents of the child and the whereabouts of the mother, are urged to come forward and report to their nearest police station.
