It is alleged that the pair robbed a bread truck driver and his colleague at gunpoint after they delivered bread in Odendaalsrus and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng, says the truck driver and his colleague were robbed when they stopped at the side of the road near Kutloanong to buy food.

Two men suddenly approached them. Thakeng says the men took the truck and drove off to a gravel road on a farm near the graveyard where they robbed an undisclosed amount of cash and two cell phones belonging to the victims.

He adds that the suspects locked the two employees in the back of the truck and drove around with them.

They later stopped and handed back their cell phones prior to abandoning the truck and fleeing off.

The police are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the robbery to come forth and report it to the nearest police station.
