Last year the North West High Court found Pieter Doorewaard and Philip Schutte found guilty of killing Mosweu.

In his sentencing, Judge Ronnie Hendricks described the pair’s actions as disgraceful and appalling.

Doorewaard was sentenced to an effective 18 years in prison.

He has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for murder, three years for kidnapping, two years for intimidation, one year for theft and two years for the pointing of a firearm.

Schutte will serve 23 years behind bars.

He received 20 years for murder, three years for kidnapping, two years for intimidation, one year for theft and two years for the pointing of a firearm.

Mosweu (16) died in April 2017 after it was found that he was pushed from a moving van.

The pair had accused him of stealing sunflower heads from their employer.
