Two young boys, both aged ten, have been kidnapped by three suspects in Montshiwa in Mahikeng in the North West on Tuesday.

Police spokesperson, Lesedi Dingoko, tells OFM News that, Onalenna Molehabangwe and Gontse Cholo were allegedly approached by the trio in a Volkswagen Polo vehicle when they enticed the two with potato chips. He says in the process the two were then allegedly grabbed and locked inside the boot of the vehicle. No-one has seen them since.

Dingoko says the police in Mmabatho and Mahikeng have launched a search for the two boys and according to information available, reports suggest that the victims were both from Extension 38. They were allegedly in the company of another boy when they were kidnapped.

Dingoko adds that Onalenna was wearing a blue long sleeve t-shirt and blue jean while Gontse was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt with red, yellow and blue stripes. "They are both learners at Podile Primary School in Ramosadi village,” he added. "Anyone with information that may lead to the successful tracing of these boys and apprehension of the suspects is urged to contact Captain Manko Tiroyabone at 076-529-5066". "Alternatively, Crime Stop can be called at 08600 10111," Dingoko concluded.

The report of this kidnapping comes after the discovery of Nthabiseng “Minky” Makhoba's lifeless body in the Caleb Motshabi informal settlement near Bloemfontein in the Free State on Wednesday. It appeared that she was brutally raped.
