Central SA to experience heavy rainfall over next two days─── PULANE CHOANE 15:50 Mon, 11 Mar 2019
The South African Weather Service has issued a weather warning to residents in various parts of Central South Africa regarding heavy downpours as well as strong winds which may be experienced in these regions over the next two days.
The Weather Bureau warns that there might be hailstorms with the heavy downpours and strong winds expected over the extreme eastern parts of the Northern Cape. The service also warns that the North West will experience severe thunderstorms with possible hailstorms, heavy rains and strong winds over the next two days, while finally, the western parts of the Free State can expect thundershowers, heavy rain, strong winds, and possible hail.
While the Service warned that there will be an 80% chance of rain in these regions, no word was mentioned of possible localised floods, as was noted in KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend and in Bloemfontein over a month ago.
