Police spokesperson, Peter Kareli, tells OFM News that according to information available to them at this stage, the deceased’s clothes got stuck in the mechanisms of the machine and the worker was dragged into it.

He says fellow workers tried to pull out the worker but their efforts fell in vain and unfortunately the 33-year-old unidentified worker died. Kareli says the Emergency Services personnel declared the worker dead on the scene and he further says the police are still awaiting results of the post-mortem.
