The Emergency Medical Services in the North West says sixteen people were left injured on Thursday, 28 March 2019, when the bakkie they were travelling in overturned on a dirt road outside of Ramokokastad near Rustenburg.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says they had sustained only minor to moderate injuries and the bakkie was found on its roof amongst some bushes.
He says the patients were treated for their injuries and were transported by both ER24 and provincial emergency services to nearby provincial hospitals. Meiring says the details surrounding the incident are not yet known and fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h30 with the provincial services. On the scene, paramedics found several people seated along the roadside,” Meiring concluded.
