The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of severe thunderstorms over the eastern part of North West, as well as the northern Free State on Saturday.
This as heavy rainfall is expected in the eastern parts of the country.
There are also warnings of localised flooding, while severe thunderstorms are expected over parts of the interior.
Areas such as Matlosana, that include Klerksdorp, experienced heavy localised flooding while in the Free State severe thunderstorms led to a power losses in some parts of Mangaung in Bloemfontein during the week.
According to the weather office, heavy rain leading to localised flooding is also expected along the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal, spreading to the Wild Coast of the Eastern Cape in the morning.
