Tribal leader welcomes SIU investigation by NW premier─── LUCKY NKUYANE 15:01 Wed, 17 Apr 2019
The tribal leader of Bakwena-Ba-Mogopa in the North West, Kgosi Motheo Mamogale, has welcomed the decision by Premier Job Mokgoro to facilitate and speed up the SIU's investigations into the allegations of maladministration at the Tribal Council.
He says this will pave a way to allay fears and concerns of the people who wrote a letter to the premier asking him to intervene in the matter. Mokgoro on Monday met with Bapo-Ba-Mogale in Bapong and Bakwena-Ba-Mogopa outside Brits to find a way forward after all parties agreed that the allegations of maladministration rendered the council to be dysfunctional. OFM News previously reported that the SIU’s investigation into the allegations of maladministration at the Traditional Councils of the two tribal houses will be continued, if not stepped up. Kgosi Mamogale says the move by Mokgoro has been greatly received and appreciated.
Mokgoro says following deliberations with both parties recently, a few resolutions have been taken. This decision was taken after allegations of maladministration and mismanagement of tribal funds was made by Mamogale.
