Zwane 'won't waste his time' on corruption allegations against him, Magashule─── LUCKY NKUYANE 10:35 Thu, 18 Apr 2019
The under-fire former Mineral Resources Minister, Mosebenzi Zwane, says he won't waste his time by running to the courts regarding the book 'Gangster State'.
The book puts him and former Free State Premier, Ace Magashule, at the centre of corruption in the province. This as Magashule earlier threatened to take the author, journalist Pieter-Louis Myburgh, to court, saying he “never did anything unlawful” during his tenure as premier.
Speaking to eNCA, Zwane dismissed the question on whether he will also take court action, saying the book is a waste of time and has no truth in it. Zwane and Magashule have been linked to the alleged corruption that took place at the Vrede Dairy Farm project where millions of rands are alleged to have been siphoned through corruption deeds while he was the Agricultural MEC in the province.
He says the Vrede allegations have been going on for more than three or four years now and no-one has ever come forward to charge him in front of the court. Zwane says he stands by his earlier statement that he was not involved in the alleged corruption in Vrede and has further appealed to anyone with evidence to come forward and present it.
OFM News previously reported that the National Prosecuting Authority in 2018 had dropped all charges against the controversial Gupta family for now, regarding the Estina Dairy farm project involving R250 million linked to the farm project in Vrede.
