North West house robbery suspect set to appear in court─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 09:40 Sat, 20 Apr 2019
A 25-year-old house robbery suspect from North West is expected to appear before the Ganyesa Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, April 23.
This, after he and his accomplice robbed a pastor at one of the local churches in Morokweng village near Ganyesa, 70km from Vryburg.
It is alleged that the pastor was at the mission house and praying at Lokalaneng Section, Morokweng, when he heard a noise and went to investigate.
Police spokesperson, Adéle Myburgh, says the pastor was then confronted by the suspects, who tied him up and stabbed him in the head before they fled the scene with cellular phones and cash.
She says the pastor fortunately managed to untie himself, and identify the suspects. He later went to one of the suspects' parental home where he found his goods.
Myburgh says the matter was then reported to the police and one suspect was arrested.
