Suspected cable thief electrocuted─── LUCKY NKUYANE 11:08 Sat, 27 Apr 2019
A suspected cable thief has been electrocuted at a substation behind the Naval Hill area in Bloemfontein.
Centlec spokesperson, Lele Mamatu, told OFM News from the scene where the body was discovered this morning, that the incident allegedly took place last night as the man allegedly tried to steal cable.
He described the incident as unfortunate.
In 2018, Mamatu told OFM News an unconfirmed number of suspects were spotted by local police cutting overhead lines in the Bayswater suburb but upon seeing authorities, the suspects fled the scene, leaving the cables behind.
This is a developing story.
