EFF has accused the mayor of the municipality, Olly Mlamleli, of failing to deliver basic service delivery to residents of the metro.

In its Twitter feed, the party said it demands that sewage leakages around towns in the metro be speedily attended to within the turnaround time.  

Malema also addressed students at the University of Free State. The EFF was also set to hand over a list of its demands at the Mangaung Municipal Office. The Municipality is yet to respond.

Meanwhile, Malema on Monday also led a march to the Matjhabeng Local Municipality’s offices in Welkom. Malema was is in the province as a part of the party’s campaign trail ahead of elections on May 8. 

He led hundreds of EFF supporters in their red regalia, demanding delivery of basic services. EFF Provincial Chairperson, Mandisa Makesini, addressed the supporters, echoing their many concerns which include the existence of bucket toilets in some areas.
