NW teacher’s body found with multiple stab wounds─── LUCKY NKUYANE 09:26 Wed, 01 May 2019
The murder of a school teacher has rocked the North West.
The 44-year-old was allegedly killed by three suspects after being hijacked and kidnapped in Wolmaransstad recently.
Police spokesperson, Adele Myburgh, says Isaac Dekote Tlhapi, was reported missing on Friday, 26 April, after his family said he did not make it home.
Tlhapi reportedly met Tsephong Leteane and Nkululeko Kraai, who are currently in police custody, and another unidentified man who is still at large, at a tavern in Wolmaransstad before the said incident.
Myburgh says after the family reported Tlhapi as missing, police investigations led to the arrest of the two suspects the following Sunday.
A day later Tlhapi's naked body was discovered with multiple stab wounds along the Makwassie and Leeudoringstad Road.
Myburgh adds the police believe that Tlhapi gave the three a lift. She says on the same day that his family reported him missing, his silver Nissan Qashqai was found abandoned in Soweto, Gauteng.
Myburgh says the police investigation continues, and the arrest of the third suspect is imminent.
