NW police launch manhunt for third suspect of teacher’s murder | News Article

The North West police have launched a manhunt for the third suspect believed involved in the murder of a 44-year-old, Isaac Dekote Tlhapi, who was allegedly killed by three suspects after being hijacked and kidnapped in Wolmaransstad recently.

Police spokesperson, Adele Myburgh, says the third suspect evaded the arrest after his two accomplices were arrested on 28 May 2019 for the murder of Tlhapi. She says the police believe the teacher was killed after giving the three a lift from a local tavern where they met before he went missing.

Myburgh says after the family reported Tlhapi as missing on Friday 26 April, police investigations led to the arrest of Tsephong Leteane and Nkululeko Kraai. She says on Monday Tlhapi's naked body was discovered with multiple stab wounds along the Makwassie and Leeudoringstad Road.

Myburgh adds the police believe that Tlhapi gave the three a lift. She says on the same day that his family reported him missing, his silver Nissan Qashqai was found abandoned in Soweto, Gauteng.

Myburgh says the police investigation continues, and the arrest of the third suspect is imminent.
