Suspected Bfn drug peddler remains behind bars─── PULANE CHOANE 09:45 Fri, 03 May 2019
The suspected 31-year-old Onyeka Orji remains in police custody after he was found with R130 000 worth of drugs as well as R70 000 cash in Bloemfontein over the weekend.
He was arrested on Saturday after he was allegedly found with drugs such as crack cocaine, cocaine, CAT, crystal meth, ecstasy. OFM News had previously reported that Orji was arrested on Saturday at an upmarket suburb in Bloemfontein, where police confiscated several items including cell phones, the drugs and money previously mentioned, as well as a Mercedes Benz. Orji appeared at the Local Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon and the spokesperson for the Hawks in the Free State, Lynda Steyn, said he will remain in custody until 20 May, when he will re-appear in court for a formal bail application.
