Central South African voters will have to brace the chill on Wednesday, as cold and wet conditions are expected in the interior parts of the Free State, Northern Cape as well as the North West.


There is a cold front that will move from the Northern Cape, Free State to the North West Province. Maximum temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s with the exception of the Western parts of the Northern Cape with temperatures between 14 and 18 degrees. 

A cold front moving into the Bloemfontein area is expected throughout the day. Thundershowers are expected in the morning in the eastern parts of the Northern Cape with a 30% chance of clearing up in the afternoon. 60% thundershowers are expected in the southern areas of the Free State. 

There is a 30% chance of showers and thundershowers in the North West in the morning. The Western interior of the Free State is expected to have strong winds as well as in the eastern parts of the Northern Cape. Voters are encouraged to dress accordingly.
