This, after the case against Thomas Pearson (36), Lodewikus Swanepoel (49) and Salaamudien Anthony (30) was postponed last week for further investigations. The trio remained in custody and they are expected to apply for bail.

They were arrested last month following a police chase after they got a tip-off about three men who dumped the body of a woman in her forties at a farm at Sundrift near Brits.

Police spokesperson, Adéle Myburgh, told OFM News reports suggest that farm workers at Sundrift near Brits saw the suspects who were travelling in a white Volkswagen Golf dumping the body of a woman.

They alerted their employer, who reported the incident to the police who then chased after the suspect’s vehicle that was spotted on the R511 between Brits and the Thabazimbi route. The suspects were then arrested.

Myburgh confirmed that the woman’s body, that was found with numerous injuries, including multiple stab wounds and a fractured skull, has been identified as that of 36-year-old Pauline Sehlahla from Soshanguve.

It is alleged that the suspects offered the woman a lift in the Brits area, then later killed her. Investigations continues.
