NW #SchoolViolence case postponed to July─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 08:09 Tue, 25 Jun 2019
An assault case involving a North West parent and a teacher at Leema Primary School, where a Grade 3 parent stands accused of assaulting her child’s teacher, has been postponed to July the 25th.
This, after the two briefly appeared in the Mankwe Magistrate's Court in Mogwase for the alleged assault yesterday afternoon. The 40-year-old parent, Itumeleng Lizbeth Letsepe, is facing a charge of assault with the intention to do grievous bodily harm after she attacked the Grade 3 teacher Mpuseng Sepotokele with an umbrella when she arrived at the school back in February. OFM News previously reported that the parent said the teacher was abusing her child. The incident that took place in full view of learners arriving for school left the teacher with wounds to the head, right arm, a two centimetre cut at the back of her head and a stitch behind the right ear. It is reported that the 53-year-old teacher has meanwhile changed schools and is considering early retirement.
