#NCSOPA: Ambulances have helpful new feature─── PULANE CHOANE 17:56 Fri, 05 Jul 2019
Ambulances in the Northern Cape will be able to be tracked with an app via a GPS system.
This is according to Zamani Saul, Premier of the Province, who delivered his State of the Province Address in Kimberley today.
At this stage, however, it remains unclear who will download the app and also who will track the allocated ambulance using the GPS system - the person who called the ambulance or the provincial health department. These details will later be covered in an interview with Saul.
Speaking to his audiences, Saul explained that the ambulances will work much in the same way that the popular international transport service Uber does.
As he said this, those who understood the technology Uber uses, gave Saul a roaring applause. He then explained that this forms part of his mission to modernise the various departments in the provincial government under his theme "Building a people-centred, modern and activist legislature".
