Sanco to launch community-based campaign | News Article

A campaign based on the views of the community, called "Bua Moagi" which translates to “citizens should speak up”, will be discussed, amongst other issues, by the South African National Civil Organization (Sanco) over the weekend in Mahikeng, NW.

The campaign is said to be in line with the organisation’s mandate of door-to-door campaigns before the national election. Sanco’s first deputy president, Packet Seaketso, told OFM News that the campaign will be launched across all provinces in the country on 3 August. He has indicated that the municipalities that are a priority in the North West are the Madibeng, Mahikeng, Tswaing, Kagisono, and Molopo Local Municipalities as these municipalities performed poorly and had several service delivery protests.

"Bau Moagi" will give a voice to citizens around the country regarding service delivery as promised during election campaigns. Seakotso told OFM News that this campaign will reduce community protests which ends up costing the government more money and resources.
