Parents were ecstatic when they received car chairs, donated by the Road Accident Fund (RAF) yesterday at Melt Meyer Hall in Klerksdorp in the North West.
This comes as part of RAF’s outreach program around the city of Matlosana and the surrounding areas. A total of eighteen car chairs were donated to parents of toddlers born in the hospital in the recent months. Tshepong Hospital spokesperson, Nico Masiu said the initiative by RAF is much appreciated as it ensure that the safety of children is prioritized.
RAF Marketing Manager, Sello Mosotho, expressed his contentment with the relationship they have with the hospital. He also stated that it was heartwarming to see parents respond positively towards the call for a safer society. Mosotho further expressed that RAF campaigns should not be once off or about claims, but ensuring that an accident free society is promoted.
Furthermore, the Acting Chief Executive Officer Of Tshepong Hospital Complex, Dr. David Leburu, encouraged parents to pass on the chairs when they no longer use it, to ensure that this great gesture keeps saving lives. Excited parents told OFM News that they are thankful that RAF made it possible to put their children's live first.
