Rapist at psychiatric institution out on bail─── 14:23 Mon, 29 Jul 2019
A 19-year-old patient who was admitted at a psychiatric institution in Barkly West in the Northern Cape was allegedly raped by a fellow patient.
According to police spokesperson, Sergio Kock, the incident occurred in the early hours of July 14th at this medical institution. The suspect, Molaodi Micheal Manone (38), was arrested and held in custody. Manone appeared in the Barkly West District Court today on charges of rape. He was released on bail of R500 and is scheduled to appear in court on 26 August 2019 while the investigation continues.
