FS Health MEC condemns social media misusers─── 08:34 Thu, 08 Aug 2019
People should use social media for sharing correct information and not lies.
This is according to the Free State Health MEC, Montsheng Tsiu, who was referring to the recent allegations that Mofumahadi Manapo Regional Hospital in Phuthaditjhaba, Qwaqwa, in the Free State, was making use of candles due to no electricity.
The furious MEC said that lies trend faster than real issues that build communities. Speaking to OFM News yesterday, Tsiu explained that the department always ensures that generators have diesel, in case electricity problems occur. She also went on to say that the department cannot be that careless to an extent that the health sectors use candles during an emergency situation.
According to Tsiu, it is alleged that the municipal electricians arrived on the fourth consecutive day of no electricity at the hospital. The generator they worked on experienced some problems, but it was speedily attended to.
She urged people who do not believe that there are generators and diesel at the hospital, to go and see for themselves.
