No water for some parts of the Vaal─── 14:46 Thu, 08 Aug 2019
Some parts of the Vaal, Gauteng, will be without water today. This is due to the replacement of a faulty valve at the Amanzimtoti water pump station in Vereeniging.
Emfuleni Local Municipality media relations officer, Makhosonke Sangweni, told OFM News that the replacement process of the faulty valve at the pump station has commenced at 07h00 and is expected to continue until 21h00 tonight. Sangweni says areas to be affected include Unitas Park, Roshnee and Rustervaal.
Last week, residents in Vanderbijlpark and the surrounding townships were left without electricity. The municipality has apologised and deployed technicians to assess and fix the cause of the problem.
