#BreakingNews: Reports unveil shady past of accused pastor in #MokoenaMurder─── OLEBOGENG MOTSE 17:25 Mon, 12 Aug 2019
The pastor and accused number two in the murder of 51-year-old Bloemfontein-based farmer Ntau Lucas Mokoena has been revealed to have a shady past that dates back to at least 2016.
The Oudtshoorn's Die Hoorn has not only linked the accused, Elvis ‘Sonnyboy’ Galeboe, to a robbery and a separate murder in the Northern Cape but has also placed him right in the middle of the 2017 murder of South African Defence Force (SANDF) Sergeant Preston Titus in Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape, for which four people were arrested and charged.
Authorities in the Western Cape traced Galeboe’s connection to the accused in that case via cell phone records. He was said to be in frequent contact with several of the accused, which include the deceased’s wife Magdaleen Titus, fellow pastor Masithembe January, and Natasha Stuurman, a close acquaintance of Galeboe’s. He had been expected to appear as a witness in the ongoing murder trial but is yet to do so.
Stilfontein police spokesperson, Sam Tselenyane, is still looking into whether or not Galeboe was involved in a robbery and separate murder in Mothibistad close to Kuruman in the Northern Cape. A day ahead of the trial, the main state witness was murdered and the case was struck from the court roll.
Meanwhile, he is expected to reappear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on August 23 with his fellow accused and alleged lover, 51-year-old Kelebogile Mokoena, after they briefly appeared together in courtroom 20 on Thursday, August 8. The state has revealed they oppose bail for the pastor, while Mokoena is reported to have abandoned her bail application altogether.
The 51-year-old Bloemfontein-based taxi boss and farmer was gunned down in his Fichardtpark home on July 8 in the presence of his wife.
