This follows after several disruptions of council meetings, seeking to discuss the controversial municipal manager, Theetsi Nkhumise. A reliable source tells OFM News that all ANC councillors are expected to be in attendance at that meeting on Thursday.

The source previously told OFM News the council sitting was disrupted before it could table a damning report by the Auditor-General (AG), Kimi Makwetu, which links the city manager to financial irregularities. The municipality and the ANC in the province are yet to comment. 

The source says some community members who disrupted the council are known by the community of Matlosana and are believed to be on the payroll of Nkhumise. OFM News previously reported that the Mayor of the Municipality, Maetu Kgaile, rejected earlier reports that the municipal manager allegedly failed to disclose his alleged criminal record.
