Mahumapelo says Bozwana allegations seek to destroy him─── LUCKY NKUYANE 15:09 Mon, 23 Sep 2019
Former North West premier, Supra Mahumapelo, says recent allegations that he put out a hit on deceased North West businessman Wandile Bozwana, are some of the attempts to silence his vocal activism in ANC politics.
He says such attempts will never succeed. His comments follow an article in the Sunday World claiming that an affidavit filed with Gauteng’s Provincial Investigations Unit, which investigated the death of Bozwana, implicated Mahumapelo in the murder of Bozwana. Bozwana died at the Unitas Hospital after he and his business partner Mpho Baloyi were shot at while travelling in a Renault Clio in Pretoria in October 2015.
Bozwana was hit by around nine bullets, while Baloyi sustained two gunshot wounds Mahumapelo says the allegations are complete fabricated lies made against him by some leaders of the ANC since his deployment as Premier in 2014/15.
The allegations that Mahumapelo was involved Bozwana’s murder comes several weeks after he publicly called on the ANC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) to take action against donors to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s presidential campaign for having allegedly "colluded with ANC members to destabilise the governing party and hijack the revolution”.
