This is nearly a week after she and her family were involved in a horrific accident that claimed the lives of her siblings and her grandmother. Mediclinic spokesperson, Barbara Steenkamp, tells OFM News the 7-year-old girl is still in a critical condition following the accident last week Tuesday.

Free State Emergency Services confirm the accident occurred on the R34 road between Welkom and Kroonstad as the family was returning from Johannesburg. It is reported Mokone’s wife was driving the vehicle when the accident occurred, killing the couple’s nine-year-old daughter, their ten-month-old son and the spokesperson’s mother-in-law. Messages of condolences have been pouring in for the family on social media, with many of Mokone’s colleagues expressing shock at the tragedy.
