North West police officers are in shock after a 37-year-old constable allegedly shot and killed his 27-year-old girlfriend and turned the gun on himself.
This incident occurred in Boitekong Township, near Rustenburg in North West, on Sunday night 6 October 2019.
According to police spokesperson, Sam Tselenyane, It is alleged that the police officer was having an argument with his girlfriend when his mother heard a noise from the outside room he was staying in and tried to intervene, however, the door was locked. Moments later two gunshots were fired. The door was then forced open. The two bodies of the police officer and his girlfriend were found lying on the floor. A case of murder is being investigated. The cause of the incident is still unknown.
