FS mother concerned about children’s education─── 16:12 Thu, 10 Oct 2019
A concerned mother, Elizabeth Seiso, says the education of her children is in a critical state as the taxi that transports children and teachers to Tidor Primary School in Bothaville, Free State, is unconducive.
According to the mother of two children who attend school at Tidor Primary School, which did not reopen with other schools after the September school recess due to unpaid transport allowances, the school eventually reopened yesterday.
“The taxi fetched my children at 10am and returned them earlier than usual. When I asked why they were home early, they were less concerned because they are just kids. They don’t understand anything,” she alluded.
After children and teachers of the school stayed at home for three weeks, their transport arrived late resulting in them spending less time at school.
It is alleged the Free State Department of Education is responsible for paying the transport allowance. OFM News is still waiting for a response from the Department of Education in the Free State.
