The father of 16- year old Boitumelo Phoko from the Ikageng township in Potchefstroom is overjoyed that his daughter has been found alive.
Leepile Taunyane expressed his gratitude to the media and community members who rallied behind the family in searching for his teenage daughter.
Taunyane tells OFM News he is still in the dark regarding what happened to his daughter and he doesn’t really want to force her to reveal what happened, she did however speak to the police.
He does confirm that she was found wandering the streets of Klerksdorp in an area referred to by locals as ‘Jacaranda’ on Friday at 11:00.
Phoko, whose family lives in extension 7 in Ikageng, was last seen on September 30 at a taxi rank in Klerksdorp at around 10:30.
She was on her way from Wolmaransstad to Potchefstroom at the time. Police spokesperson Sam Tselenyane said she disappeared in the midst of a taxi swap.
The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are yet to be clarified by police.
