Partnership takes FS education to next level─── 16:03 Thu, 24 Oct 2019
Free State schools are set to receive thousands of smart tablets thanks to a partnership between the Free State Department of Education and other entities.
Tablets will be handed out at 81 Free State schools in total to promote educational support.
The CEO of one of the partners in this initiative, the Closed-loop Learner Network (CLN), Kamogelo Mashotja, says they are “taking education in the Free State to the next level”.
The tablets have been loaded with electronic textbooks, tutorials videos, and have 500 megabytes data monthly and access to resourceful websites.
Mashotja further says many people will mistake this support as just digital textbooks, however, they also provide a platform for learners to do research and study on.
