NC Labour set to engage residents on employments issues─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 08:11 Sun, 24 Nov 2019
Residents of Kakamas and Upington in the Northern Cape will this week be afforded an opportunity to lay their claims with the Department of Labour.
This, as the department will this week once again embark on an outreach program to the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality.
It is during this service delivery programme when residents will be engaged on labour issues they might have, and be educated on the department’s Compensation Fund, Unemployment Insurance Fund and many others.
Spokesperson, Kebalepile Khula, says this is in efforts to enable people living in far removed areas to have easy access to the department and its entities.
Khula adds that it is during this programme that they will also be engaging employers in the different sectors about workers’ rights, economic opportunities and means to create employment.
