Ficksburg police officers in High Court for corruption─── LUCKY NKUYANE 06:37 Tue, 26 Nov 2019

Seven police officers from Ficksburg, who were found guilty in the Bloemfontein High Court in the Free State last month on charges of corruption, racketeering and contravention of the Immigration Act, will this week know their fate.
The seven, including six men and one woman, were arrested in March 2017 on these charges.
The State prosecutor, Mvuseni Ponye, says the seven were arrested for illegally rectifying passports that had already lapsed in exchange of money.
He says the officers were working with officials from the Department of Home Affairs at the border between Ficksburg and Lesotho.
These seven officers have already been found guilty on all counts, and their sentence is due in the matter.
