As the country continues to commemorate 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence, the Northern Cape police are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the whereabouts of Rehana Moshoeshoe to contact their nearest police.

Provincial police spokesperson, Mohale Ramatseba, says Moshoeshoe went missing in 2010 and her search still continues. He says her case is one of many missing cases still under their investigation, and he would like to assure the public that police investigations into missing persons are on-going.

The police in the province have meanwhile sent a stern warning against any victimisation of women and children. In efforts to further highlight the fight against child trafficking and no violence against women and children, an annual Rihanna Moshoeshoe Soccer Tournament was once again held in the province. Amongst those in attendance was the Galeshewe FCS Commander, Marli Strydom, and her members, their Provincial Head Nicky Mills, the SAPS Provincial Band, the organisers of Sol Plaatje Masters Soccer and NGOs.

Kimberley police are awaiting the results of DNA tests of a girl that was linked to Rehana Moshoeshoe, a girl from Kimberley Girls’ High School, who went missing nine years ago.
