This as Lesia’s lifeless body was found with a bullet wound to the head last week Friday, 30 November 2019, in his work office. Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, told OFM News previously, no foul play is suspected in the matter, but an inquest has been opened for further investigation. The chaplain, who is the brother to Major-General Solly Lesia who is part of the provincial police management, failed to make it home on Friday night, allegedly prompting concern from his family. His body was found in the sitting position, with his service pistol next to him.

His funeral is expected to take place this Thursday, 5 December 2019, at St Peter's Methodist Church.
