Koffiefontein rape accused to appear in court for bail─── LUCKY NKUYANE 09:08 Wed, 04 Dec 2019
A 53-year-old man will resume his formal bail application in the Koffiefontein Local Magistrate’s Court in the Free State today.
This, after the matter was postponed to afford the suspect a chance to appoint his own legal counsel. The suspect stands accused of raping a 12-year-old schoolgirl from the Leretlhabetse Primary School on Friday, 15 November.
Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, previously told OFM News that according to information received, the girl was sleeping over at the suspect’s house.
The following Wednesday school pupils marched to the Local Magistrate’s Court, protesting against the incident.
Makhele further adds the wife of the suspect attacked him before the matter was reported to the police.
