The MEC of Health, Montsheng Tsiu will start on the 6 of December with a campaign called: Taking Primary Health Care to the People. The campaign aims at encouraging healthy habits towards disease prevention. Attendees will be able to freely access a wide range of healthcare services, including HIV Counseling and Testing, TB Screening, Checking of Blood Pressure, Eye Testing, Diabetes, and Cancer Screening, amongst others on the day.

Meanwhile, on 7 December 2019, the Premier of the Free State, Sisi Ntombela, Members of the Executive Council, Mayors, Councillors, Leaders of Civil Society and Business Leaders will be at the same venue with a different theme called “Communities make the difference: Cheka Impilo” as part of the commemoration.

Tsiu says “We are increasing the levels of education amongst the youth in order to ensure that we attain the ideal of an HIV-free generation by 2030”. The province is going all out to ensure that all the plans are implemented to prevent new infections as well as to get those that are infected on medication. She further adds.
