FS Agriculture MEC visits students in Bulgaria─── 17:21 Fri, 13 Dec 2019
The MEC of Agriculture in the Free State, William Bulwane, celebrated the graduation of six South African Agriculture Masters students studying at the Plovdiv University in Bulgaria.
This celebration comes amidst a visit to the country by Bulwane and delegates. Bulwane acknowledged the university’s contribution towards the training of sixty South African students. Bulwane and delegates today, 13 December 2019, met with the students to discuss the progress made and commended them on their commitment to their studies.
The meeting furthermore reflected and discussed the importance of agri-tourism, rural development, agri-business, agro-processing and trade relations. He emphasised that agriculture remains the largest contributor to GDP and job creation, being formal or informal in the sector. Bulwane said the people of the Free State and Bulgaria should benefit from the bilateral agreements.
