Two men who have since been arrested. Police spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, says the two men, both aged 44, were nabbed by the Zeerust police for house robbery and attempted murder.

He says the suspects  forcefully gained entry to a farm in on Sunday evening, and  assaulted the 66-year-old man and his 65-year-old wife before then robbing them.

He adds that their neighbours alerted police and the suspects were arrested almost two kilometres away from the scene.

The men were found in possession of the victims' cell phones.

Mokgwabone says a preliminary investigation led the police to an abandoned farmhouse where they found the laptop and other household items which were robbed during the incident.
