FS Police host community engagement project─── MARVIN NTSANE 05:48 Mon, 09 Mar 2020
Free State police are hosting a community engagement project at Grassland Community Hall in Bloemfontein this week.
The aim is to bridge the gap between the police and the people.
Police spokesperson, Motantshi Makhele, says "project harmony" will take place over the course of three days.
He adds it's an opportunity to promote engagement between police, victims and perpetrators and make South Africa safer.
Police commissioner, Baile Motswenyane, will be part of the discussions. The project is hosted under the theme "if not you, then who".
Community members have been asked to attend in numbers.
Discussions will start from 7:00 until 16:00 in the hall today and tomorrow.
On Wednesday, the project will move to the Mangaung Indoor Sports Centre where school soccer games, art exhibitions and music performances will take place.
