The Provincial Government of the Northern Cape has, in an official statement, given the assurance that even though they have no reported cases in the province, they have placed Rapid Response Teams in all five districts in the province.

The Northern Cape is in the process of establishing a Provincial Command Council to respond to the different aspects of the Covid-19 after the announcement by president Cyril Ramaphosa. It welcomes the pro-active nature of the statement made by the president and the preventative and containment measures outlined.
Further information and provincial plans will be communicated tomorrow and the community was alerted to adhere to the Covid-19 pandemic protocols.
