Mashinini saddened by N3 fatal crash─── LEATILE LEIEE 16:57 Mon, 16 Mar 2020
The MEC for Police, Roads and Transport, Sam Mashinini, has sent condolences to the families and victims of the N3 Harrismith fatal crash that happened on Sunday morning.
The incident claimed eight lives when a delivery vehicle with a KwaZulu-Natal registration number collided head-on with a Northern Cape truck.
The impact of the crash swayed the truck into the middle of the road, where a second delivery truck from the same company crashed into it. Fatigue was identified as a possible cause of the incident and Mashinini said that remains a major problem on our roads across the province. He urges road users to be vigilant at all times and observe all the rules of the road.
