Mokgoro says the meeting will discuss measures which include, amongst others, the safety of all employees and members of the public.

The meeting comes after Ramaphosa on Sunday night announced that the gathering of more than 100 people, amongst others, was prohibited due to the coronavirus outbreak pandemic in the country.

The announcement was triggered by the rapid growth in the number of people tested positive for the coronavirus which is now at 62.

Mokgoro says an announcement on the roll-out of the Provincial Implementation Plan (PIP) will be made after the meeting.

Ramaphosa, on Sunday, also declared the COVID-19 a national disaster. He said that there will be travel bans for foreigners from high-risk countries such as Italy, Iran, Korea, Spain, Germany, the United States and China.

During the media briefing, Ramaphosa stated that there will be no entry by people from these countries allowed as of Wednesday.

Meanwhile, as it stands, the North West has no cases of the virus.
